Being disconnected!

Happy Saturday,

I have my quiet thinking reflective head on today, and have been thinking about the subject of loneliness, and isolation.  Facebook helps many feel connected virtually, yet we appear to be living in a world where a vast amount of people feel a sense of loneliness at the very core.

The virtual world, of Texting, Whats app, Messenger, Hangouts, Email, Snap chat and many others, do people actually talk to each other anymore?

Connections being made by text, conversations by text alone, appears to have produced a laziness to connect in a very real way.  And yet there are many that feel a sense of real loneliness!  I created a meme today and the caption said,

“Perhaps you feel empty? perhaps you feel that something is missing? Perhaps it is you that is missing? and you are the one you have been searching for!”

Interdependence is what we have been created for, I still believe this in many ways, yet there is a real disconnection with this happening, so many people searching for gratification outside of themselves, so many seeking for the void that they feel within themselves, to be filled through another.  When in essence to put your happiness at the hands of another is an expectation that may create a sense of dissatisfaction, because in essence another may not be able to meet that expectation.

How many times do you allow yourself to sit and be present with yourself? and to real feel a sense of connection with YOU!, There is so much that you can do when you are present with “Self”, there are things that you can do to fill your time, there are things that you can engage in to make yourself feel whole.

We live in a society that fosters being with another, and yes I do believe whether we like to admit it or not, we all do need someone, but I have come to learn that the time that we can truly be happy, is when we have allowed ourselves the journey of being happy and present with “self”.  That place when you feel a sense of peace and acceptance and being at one with YOU.  It is then that I believe that we can truly connect with another, essentially because the pressure and need, the expectation for another to fill the void that you may be feeling becomes less.  I love nothing that spending time quietly with myself, being in silence at times, listening to music sometimes, dancing, reading, researching, writing, doing things that need to be done, watching some TV, going out in nature and capturing beauty on my camera or on my phone, sometimes jumping on a bus and going to the beach.  There is no expectation from me for another to fill my silence, I can do that.

It is when you finally get to a place of acceptance, and being at one with yourself, that you will find another.  Ironically the very world that has now been created with social media, is connected yet disconnected, does that make sense to you! It has also fostered lazy behaviour where people feel that they no longer have to put the effort in, this goes to both males and females, it is all to easy to drop a message than actually pick up the phone, or pick up the phone and arrange a face to face meeting to really connect.  Like everything connection has even come at a price of disposal, almost like online shopping, pick what you like and then clicking.

Its sad really, a World that is connected, yet so disconnected.

I know that I would prefer to smell a persons presence, to feel their presence, to be able to hear the tone of their voice, their facial expressions, the tone of their vocabulary, how they express themselves, and yet no longer do I desire to just “Settle”, for I have learnt it is healthier to be alone, than with a connection that doesn’t feel real.

Time is a Healer! The Gift of Time

Every day is unique in its unfolding.
They say that time is a healer, you cannot place time on any healing that needs to take place, for it is like layers of an onion, each layer that sheds gives rise to an emergence of another layer to be healed.
The severity of the trauma or the experience will always be a unique one to each individual, I do admire those that appear to have the ability to dust themselves off, like flour on their clothes, dust, dust, then its gone, but is it really though? hmmmm I do wonder, for humans have the capacity to compartmentalize their stored experiences of hurt and pain in a tight lidded box, to be open again at ones choosing and peril, or when they are triggered and they have no choice but to look the hurt in the eye and say yes, I am ready now to deal with it. aaron-burden-622662-unsplash.jpg
In this though this only prolongs the healing that needs to take place, compounds it, one thing that we can do in this beautiful unfolding of “Life” is enjoy each day, live it, experience it, whilst we still give ourselves permission to be in this timeframe of NOW!!
Time is a healer, it isn’t finite, we cannot say I will feel better today, tomorrow, next week, next month or next year, it truly is a unique thing, the capacity to be able to still function though whilst one gives themselves time to heal what their soul as asking to be healed is the capacity to enjoy each day in its unfolding, to find the joy in each day.
I know from experience that behind every smile there are an ocean of tears, indeed though, this does not mean for one moment that there isn’t the capacity to laugh, giggle even though somehow, somewhere you may be hurting inside, for the gift of time, wisdom and experience is the blessings of being able to function and still get on and move away for just a moment from the pain.
Not forgetting though for those that struggle, sometimes the struggle is just too real, sometimes the transformation from pain to joy seems just a little to long a way for them, never judge, for how can we, when we are not walking a mile in their shoes, we may be able to understand the pain, but everyone will have their own unique strategies, coping mechanisms and ways of dealing with it, there is no right or wrong.

Remembering that Tears are the Liquid Emotions That The Heart Cannot Express!!

Today’s Universe Has Your Back Message 16/04/2018

Good evening,

late today with my posting its been a full on day!

How has your day been?

Anyway Happy Monday, many blessings and I do hope that it has been productive, enjoyable and you feel that you have achieved something today.

Today’s message is about accepting “Love” from the Universe as your primary teacher.

You see when we allow ourselves to trust the Universe and its guidance and there being a sense of what you need to go through is for your greatest and highest vibration of soul growth, this is accepted then along comes the feeling of being at peace and not fighting the natural flow of life that we have to experience in order for us to be moved to the next level of soul growth.

Anxiety, depression, fear, worry are all factors that will make this process harder to be able to cope with, and a need to know, a need to be in control, but there are times in our lives that we simply cannot be in control all of the time, that I feel is a good thing, to be in control all of the time is a heavy cross to bear with pressure to conform to juggling many thoughts, emotions, feelings that arise as a result of trying to keep it together, you can lessen your stress, anxiety and low mood by learning to trust that what is meant will certainly reveal itself, and what isn’t will not manifest, there won’t be any loss, you may feel a sense of loss as a result of an expectation of an outcome, this usually perpetuates anxiety, fear and all of the feelings, emotions associated.  Whereas if you allow yourself to just first of trust yourself, then secondly trust that the Universe or whatever you aspire too, God, Buddha, Angels, Spirit, Ancestors, those that have passed, really do have a say in what is going on around you, more than you realise, there is guidance to be found even when we do not think so.  So allow yourself to TRUST.

So today’s message is beautiful in its unfolding, in its truth and it is right for you, as it has come up for a reason.

Have a blessed night, I hope that you feel rejuvenated tomorrow and focus on all the positives, stay awesome, stay you, and trust.

Today’s Universe Has Your Back Message – 05/04/2018

What a wonderful message today, this one.

It’s in the theme of trusting your intuition as to when to speak up from a place of Love and not fear, to speak up when you feel ready to do so, especially if there is something that you may not be vocalising.  Sometimes picking our moments to speak up, is a good thing, sometimes there needs to be a bit of a process that goes on as to how you feel about what is going on around you!

I don’t know about you, but I learnt some time ago that as we grow, evolve, mature and learn to focus our energy in positive ways, we begin to discern too as to the battles that we enter, also a positive thing, it saves a great deal of energy being misdirected.

If you have some friction that is going on around you at present trust you inner judgement as to when to speak up and speak your truth, sometimes it is wisest to let the dust settle, let things calm down and then meet it with fresh new energy once the waters become calmer.   In addition trust your inner guidance if you feel a little lost at present, sometimes this happens when there is change or a shift happening and things will usually fall into place.  Trust that!  You will always end up where you need to be.

Today’s Universe Has Your Back Guidance 29/03/2018.

Good evening,

phew what a week it has been! I promised myself the gift this evening of some wind down time to catch up with myself as it has sure been a whirlwind of activity since the end of last week, currently tuning into Calm Zen Radio, which is beautiful soothing and calming, feels like a moment of bliss.

I asked for some guidance today on the Universal message and the card that came up was “Oneness Is My True Nature”, now I believe that this can be taken 2 ways, oneness with self and oneness with the Universe, a feeling of no matter what is going on within, or without one still has a sense of inner peace, with an awareness and consciousness of that which you do have the power to change and what one doesn’t.  Knowing that, that inner sense of peace cannot be eroded, not intruded upon because it just simply IS how you feel in being with that oneness.

There is a lot to be said of learning through wisdom, maturity and discernment of what one has control over, what one doesn’t and where one decides and makes a choice to place their energy, its a powerful message that you give your soul in doing this.

So where are you in this moment? in your Oneness? are you content in yours? or are you still striving to attain that feeling of inner contentment?

There is definitely something liberating about being in the nature of oneness, its freeing, it is less pressure, it gives you space then to focus on other things and trusting in the Universal Law of you being exactly where you need to be in this moment.

I hope that you have had a good day, and that you have a great Easter break creating that feeling of Oneness within, in both your inner dialogue and with the Universe and its energetic vibrations and ripples giving you signs of your direction, trust that, always trust the little signs that are shown along the way.

Worry is a wasted emotion – today’s message from spirit guides – 14/3/2018

Why worry? where does it get you? What does it change?

Nothing!!

All it does it set your body up for a fight or flight situation, sends hormones into your body which are toxic and creates tension and disease in the body.  Worry is a wasted emotion, worry is often as a result of an imagined scenario, fear based which then sends your thought processes into a spiral of negative thinking.

Worry creates disharmony in the body and creates a hormones to be released which create an imbalance, does this really help, yes some may say, easier said than done.  But on the premise of working with what you physically, emotionally, spiritually have the capacity and power to change, what does worrying do? it creates all sorts of feelings, emotions and discord in the body and mind, not helpful.

The key principle if you feel worried about something, ask yourself does worrying change the outcome of your situation?

Yes worry is a real emotion, it is a real feeling but taking on its own merit it does not truly support you to be able to move forward but creates fear and creates a stumbling block to keeping it moving so that you can then move forward it a more positive manner.

Worrying does not have the power to alter the result nor change the outcome of what is naturally going to be, there are simply some things that we do not have control over, so in truth the only thing to do is trust that any outcome may be beyond our control, the key objective is how we choose to respond once we do know what the outcome is.

Perhaps worrying is a genetic trait, learned behaviour, perhaps family members have been prone to worrying and this too has created a reaction in you, learned behaviour, we do after all inherit some learned behaviours.

The guides are urging you today to recognize that worrying is wasted energy, which you can then free up to be utilized in a more positive manner.

Remembering that if you are dealing with a situation to which you do not know the answer to yet, or you feel it is something out of your control, just flow with it and trust that things will resolve themselves, that everything that you experience is temporary, it does not last, things change, sometimes quickly, sometimes it takes a little longer, but nonetheless, nothing stays the same forever. #

Work with what you have the power to control and let go of the rest.

Compassion goes a long way, to others, to self!

Hi there,

My thoughts turn to Compassion today, compassion goes a very long way in a World that can feel unfeeling at times, you just never truly know how much you holding out your hand in compassion will impact another.  For you see many suffer in silence, sometimes the silence is out of not wanting to be a burden to others, not wanting to show vulnerability, not wanting to admit to others that one simply isn’t coping with what one may be going through.  Over the years since I have been on Facebook, since 2009, I have seen only too well the posts that do get a response, and the posts that usually get a response are the negative posts and real life posts, you see human nature can respond to these type of posts, so I wanted to draw reference to the word Compassion today, I have been thinking about it for a couple of days now.

So what is Compassion? what exactly is it, a definition I have pulled up from Wikipedia is this;

Compassion motivates people to go out of their way to help the physical, mental or emotional pains of another and themselves. Compassion is often regarded as having sensitivity, an emotional aspect to suffering, though when based on cerebral notions such as fairness, justice, and interdependence, it may be considered rational in nature and its application understood as an activity also based on sound judgment. There is also an aspect of equal dimension, such that individual’s compassion is often given a property of “depth”, “vigour”, or “passion”. The etymology of “compassion” is Latin, meaning “co-suffering.” Compassion involves “feeling for another” and is a precursor to empathy, the “feeling as another” capacity for better person centred acts of active compassion; in common parlance active compassion is the desire to alleviate another’s suffering.  So here it is in a nutshell.

How much compassion do you display to your friends, family, those in need? is there tolerance for their plight and for their suffering? or do you get fed up if there is repetition of the same story?

Well you see the real essence is that progress and growth in terms of human suffering is I believe at the root of attachment, which in essence is human nature, we all get attached to something, someone and this is the very nature of human nature, can you imagine if we didn’t? how unfeeling would we really be, terribly cold I imagine.  But there is one thing that comes to mind in the theme of human suffering is that suffering is a journey, just as grief, loss and detaching yourself from something, it is a journey, it takes time to untangle, to process, to understand, to digest, to get to a place where all of the varying emotions become bearable and no longer feel overwhelming, so imagine how it feels to go through a process of suffering, whether this be from life’s experiences, personal loss, addictions, trauma, it takes time, the journey to healing does not happen overnight, oh no.

So if you see someone within your peripheral circle who needs some support, reach out your hand in compassion to see if you can offer support, you may not be able to take their pain away, their suffering away, but just reaching out and being there, may mean so much, and it just may make a difference to their lives.  We all need to feel loved, appreciated, cared for and that we matter, even though the real essence is not seeking validation outside of ourselves, or from others, but it does make a difference to our feeling of interdependence to know and to feel that someone does care.

You just never know how much of an impact that may have on another’s emotional, spiritual well-being.

And also remember too, lastly, if compassion does not include yourself, it isn’t compassion. compassion600.jpg

Calm is not to be perceived as a weakness!

How many times do you see a quiet individual and think they are meek and mild, how many times? judgment you see is human nature, we do it all the time, even for those who state that they don’t, even for those who are conscious of their thoughts and are mindful in their actions of them.

You see there is so much judgement around quietness, being still, to be perceived as quiet it means, what is that person thinking, they are quiet, they appear very timid, mild and meek, but do you know calm and quiet can be a quiet hidden strength that resides from a very deep place.

I asked the Universe today for today’s card and the card that was drawn was “Calm Is Not A Weakness”.  the key principles of its message today are as follows:-

  • A balanced and harmonious existence attracts exactly that
  • No drama
  • Human society aspires to movers and shakers type A personalities, but what is the cost to their human emotional state, physical state and emotional well-being, at what cost.
  • Slow and steady does win the race, it is not how long it takes to get there, but that you get there.
  • Constant pressure to achieve can result in burn-out, distinguishing ones soul
  • Take care of your human vessel
  • Scattered energies achieve little
  • Focus, slowly and diligently
  • Money not being a total objective over inner calm, peace and inner happiness
  • You have all you need
  • You are resourceful
  • Meditation and sitting in silence, quietens the mind, body and spirit and nourishes the soul.

So I ask you what are you doing to quieten your mind, body and spirit? where do you give your soul the nourishment of calm, inner peace.  Tomorrow is a Full Moon a perfect time to allow the ebb of the Full Moon to flow over you as you prepare for the next chapter of your journey.

Remember a calm inner self equates to a peaceful soul.

Like Attracts Like

Hi, I asked for a card today to send out Universally and the card that came up is Like Attracts Like, interesting concept, some may think what does that mean, well in essence we get what we focus on, so if we focus on fear, anger, hate, love, disappointment, joy, negativity then we will get those things, this deck by James Van Praagh, Messages From The Guides, Transformation Deck I felt drawn too for spiritual work of sharing positive empowering messages.

In essence this card speaks of the following key points objectively:-

  • What you focus on give your energy too this is what will manifest
  • You are the creator of your own life
  • A deflection away from compassion and truth via distractions from day to day life
  • What you desire you must create
  • Not giving into fear and anxiety
  • Making a conscious effort to turn your fear based thoughts to that of compassion, forgiveness and understanding, mercy, tolerance and service.
  • Know one is exempt from this universal law
  •  Turn negative energy, thoughts and actions into a positive

This takes awareness and conscious thought and action, it does not happen overnight and one has to re-train their mind.  I also asked for another card from another deck I have and this one is from the Universe Has Your Back deck by Gabrielle Bernstein and ironically the card drawn fits in perfectly with the other, so today’s message and positive focus is watch your thoughts and your actions, if you are fear based then this is what you will create, let go, let love, compassion and understanding be your inner guide.  It does not mean you condone what does not feel right it just means that you channel your thoughts and responses around it.

Sensory Overload

I have been thinking about sensory overload, we live in a very fast paced World, not only in an every day sense of activity but in the form of social media.  Its addictive, this social media lark, it becomes the norm to our day, the norm to our routine, perhaps there is a fear of missing out, something interesting, something juicy, something that one can respond too. Everything is so fast paced, life has truly picked up a pace, everything at our
disposal so to speak. thZR42PH4N
Today I am feeling overloaded in a sensory way, noise, words, activity.  Sometimes regeneration and having a period of quiet time is essential for the well-being of our soul.
Being a Woman who is very much aware of my surroundings and who and what is around, also sensitive in the things that are not said, sometimes for those of us who are HSP (Highly Sensitive Persons) it can all feel a little too much, sometimes I go into observation mode.  There is a lot to be learned in this, so much actually in that sometimes the inaction, silence speaks for itself, people reveal a lot about themselves, me included even in the sense of inactivity.  I do find people rather fascinating.
Sometimes having a little quiet time is so good for the soul, so therapeutic, regenerative.  I can often tell when I feel overloaded I become irritated and snappy.  What I am aware of though is my choices in these moments.  But having said that the realization that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience and who the hell is perfect anyway, perfection is but an illusion of the MIND.
We are bombarded with information day in and day out that our brains are overly stimulated, I relish the moments where I can be in the soft glow of candle light and a sensory smell of natural aromatherapy, oh so soothing, oh so therapeutic.  Right at this present moment, I have very little sound around me, well it is much quieter than it was earlier, with a soft glow light on, it feels so soothing.
Sometimes it is also helpful not to THINK, but just allow ourselves to be STILL in the moment.  Often the sound of ones own breathing and the sound of stillness is just soothing, almost like a blanket around you, snuggled and warm offering comfort in the time of need.  If you are anything like me, you will know when you need a soothing sense of stillness.  The key though is being around like minded people who understand it.  Sometimes it is equally as pleasant to be in a room with someone whom you have an affinity with and not say a word, just their mere presence is enough and vice versa, sometimes just the closeness is sufficient.
I do not know what compelled me to write this today, but I have flowed with my inner guidance and just gone with it.
So on this note where are you in the feeling of sensory overload? Are you in tune with your innermost guidance, it is truly a powerful source of inspiration, guidance.  Truly, tap in, try it.
